Chesty Cough Balm

A soothing blend of natural ingredients designed to help ease discomfort on the skin. Formulated with the calming properties of ginger, eucalyptus, thyme, and a nourishing base of tallow, beeswax, coconut oil, and camellia oil. Ideal for a comforting, moisturizing experience for your skin. Camphor free, so it is safe in all ages.

• Tallow: is rich in fatty acids, such as oleic and stearic acids, which help moisturize and protect the skin. When applied to the chest, it acts as a barrier, helping to retain moisture and soothe irritation caused by frequent coughing.

• Beeswax: When applied topically, it can help areas affected by coughing, such as the chest and throat area. Acts as a carrier for essential oils, helping them be evenly distributed in the balm. It can help stabilize the blend and ensure that the ingredients are spread evenly to ensure full coverage.

• Coconut oil: When combined with other essential oils like eucalyptus, coconut oil may help clear nasal passages. May assist in opening up the airways and reducing congestion.

• Camellia oil: gentle and soothing, making it a great addition to cold and flu care, especially for those with sensitive skin. When combined with other oils, it enhances the overall effectiveness of a chest balm to provide relief from discomfort.

• Eucalyptus EO: With its menthol-like properties, eucalyptus offers a cooling sensation that may help ease the discomfort associated with coughing and promote a more comfortable breathing experience.

• Thyme:  Traditionally used for its calming properties, thyme is known for helping to ease persistent coughing spells, promoting a sense of comfort by soothing the throat and chest.

• Ginger EO: A warming, natural ingredient often associated with relieving discomfort in the chest and throat. It provides a soothing touch, especially during cold and flu season, offering a comforting experience for the skin.

Safe for use in breastfeeding, pregnant women. Caution is advised when placing on the chest while breastfeeding babies- Ensure that the balm does not make contact with the babies' nose nor mouth whilst feeding as discomfort may arise from the herbs and essential oils used.

While being a natural product, caution is advised for use in children under 12 months of age and babies under 6months of age. Patch test first and stop use immediately irritation occurs.
